Capabilities and limits
What we can print, how big, and what we won't take on.

Equipment
| Printer | Qty | Build volume | Max nozzle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 Combo | 2 | 256 × 256 × 256 mm | 350 °C |
| QIDI Q2 | 1 | 270 × 270 × 256 mm | 370 °C |

| Revopoint INSPIRE 2 | 1 | Up to 0.05 mm (maker's spec) | Copying existing parts |
The printers are enclosed FDM (filament) machines. The enclosure and high-temperature nozzles let us print engineering materials like Nylon, not only PLA.
Scanning works best on small to medium, matte parts. Shiny, black, transparent or very thin surfaces are harder and may need prep or hand measuring. Real-world accuracy is lower than the rated figure, and every scan is rebuilt as a clean model before printing.
How big is it?
Drawn to scale: the 256 mm square build area of an Elegoo printer next to a sheet of letter paper (279 × 216 mm). The QIDI Q2 is a little larger at 270 × 270 × 256 mm.
What to expect
| Single-part size | About 250 mm (10 in) per side. Longer slim parts may print diagonally, up to about 12 in. Larger parts can be split into pieces. |
|---|---|
| Layer height | 0.2 mm standard with a 0.4 mm nozzle. Finer on request, with longer print time. |
| Accuracy | Typically about ±0.2 mm on well-designed parts. For critical fits, tell us and we'll advise. |
| Materials | PLA, PETG, TPU, Nylon. See the materials page. |
| File types | STL, 3MF, OBJ, STEP, or a photo or PDF with measurements. |
| Turnaround | Small orders typically 5 to 7 days. Larger orders quoted individually. |
What we don't make
- Firearms, firearm parts, or anything intended to cause harm.
- Safety-critical, medical or load-rated parts (lifting, climbing, life-safety) unless agreed in writing.
- Food-contact parts. Printed surfaces are not treated as food safe.
- Parts that need very tight tolerances, mirror-smooth surfaces or metal-like strength. If a part needs machining or molding, we'll say so.
Saying no early saves you time. If we can't make it well, we'll tell you and, where we can, suggest an alternative.
